The Everyday Holiness UK Tour

Dr Alan Morinis,
Founder of The Mussar Institute
is coming to the UK!

We are thrilled that SoulBalance Mussar is helping to bring Alan Morinis to the UK at the end of October. Alan is well known to SoulBalance through Rabbi Marcia Plumb who has been a student and colleague of his for many years.

Rabbi Mark Goldsmith, Rabbi Monique Mayer and Student Rabbi Anna Dyson

are your hosts for the programme to ensure Alan's wisdom and teaching can go far, wide and deep!

Meet the inspiring teacher behind the modern revival of Mussar at their very first in-person learning sessions in the UK.

Check back for updates as our programme continues to develop.

Dr Alan Morinis

Alan received his doctorate from Oxford University where he went on a Rhodes Scholarship. He is one of the leading lights in the revival of the Jewish spiritual tradition of Mussar and is the author of many books including his most famous, often cited as the Mussar Bible, 'Everyday Holiness'.

He is the founder of The Mussar Institute and a student of Rabbi Yechiel Yitzchok Perr, zt”l.

The Shabbat Effect

Alan's latest book, The Shabbat Effect explores Shabbat:

One of the most important biblical mandates, so significant that it numbers among the Ten Commandments, is the directive to observe a weekly day of rest. The Shabbat Effect illuminates how the practice of a day set aside for rest brings about a deep, lasting, and pervasive transformation of character, not just on the seventh day but every day.

A special series of events after the High Holy Days

We are delighted to be collaborating with The Mussar Institute, Rabbi Mark Goldsmith and Rabbi Monique Mayer to bring Alan Morinis to the UK at the end of October.

Everyday Holiness is widely considered to be the formative English-language Mussar text book, and we certainly use it a lot in our Mussar Va'ad groups.

This is an amazing opportunity to meet with and learn from Alan, in London, Leeds, and Oxford.
