In an age when image, identity and performative politics have become dominant in the public sphere, we can easily overlook the importance of character as a guiding principle in both personal and public lives. This talk draws lessons from the 1,100-year-old Jewish tradition of Mussar to make the case that virtue was, is and always will be essential to real leadership, as it is in our own personal lives.
